Phonegap android: Embed file and give it to the user on click

I made an application to promote a curriculum Vitae. The page is in HTML.
I want to give the resume in pdf when the user click on an icon located on
the top of the screen. I don;t want the pdf to open into the application.
I want the pdf to go to the device, so the user can store the file where
he wants.
I tried:
But nothing happens when someone clicks on the icon.
What did I do wrong?
